Lavender Cakes

Please note that the cakes you see on my website are all my own creations, each one is personally hand made. I am fully aware of many cake decorators who have taken photographs from other people's websites claiming them to be their own work.
This is deceptive and fraudulant and is why all of my photographs now carry the lavender cakes watermark.

If you are aware of any sites that may contain pictures of my cakes please let me know.

I do however, find so much inspiration from books and magazines. A good example of this is the christening cake with the patchwork design which was inspired by Lindy Smith in her fabulous book, Celebrate with a Cake.
This particular design for Dexter took me over 13 hours from start to finish to complete (not including baking!).
Becky's wedding cake was partly inspired by her own dress and also a design she had seen in a magazine but her edible sequins were all handmade and totally unique!
It took over 3 hours to attach them to the cake!

My own wedding cake was inspired by a cake which a fellow sugarcrafter made. She kindly approved of me interpreting the essense of her design into my own unique creation. It was a labour of love taking me a whole week to complete;
with a much needed visit to the chiropractor at the end!!
